    is a rather interesting poll.

It has as of today 152 reponses, a pretty popular poll.

The poll shows about 27% or roughly over 1/4 of people still use Microsoft Internet Explorer as their main browser. Add the MSIE shell users, we have 33% of people still using Internet Explorer based browsers.

The question is why? Are they not worried about the security problems?

Poll follows, please vote only if you use Internet Explorer or a IE wrapper as your main browser. Multiple responses are allowed.

The best reason that I can give for still using the IE was that when some programs I download w firefox got corrupted or cannot be downloaded completely. I don't know, but IE will just stay on my pc even if I only uses it occasionally ;) :)

I use Maxthon which is an IE based browser (IE shell) as it is faster and tabbed.

I use IE for Windows Update and safe websites.
I use FF for surfing and searching.
I often use IE and FF at the same time.

I also had issues loading/viewing some pages with Firefox, so I switched back to IE.

    IE is easy.
IE will not automatically download ActiveX (unless you set it to do so).
IE works on more sites than any other browser.
IE is relatively safe (with all updates and patches) and Spyware Blaster.

So why don't I use it? There are more options with Opera and Firefox.

There are certain tasks that seem to work better with IE.

But I use Firefox as much as possible.
