hi thanks Anon! but does it work with every for example asus motherboard? almost every asus motherboard include a hd realtek chipset , asus in their motherboard pages/support don't release update drivers thanks
On Realtek's High Definition Audio Codecs page, there is the README file. Up to and including R2.79, in the README, the series were mentioned for which the new codec was compatible (ALC***) (for R2.79, see README page 24). Since R2.80, and also for R2.81, there is only mentioned: "Realtek HD Audio Driver support all of Realtek HD Audio Codec" (for R2.81, see README page 10). However, even though the new Realtek High Definition Audio should support all board with Realtek HD chipset, some manufacturers may offer there own driver that may be more suited to the specific hardware. And those are usually no longer updated after a few years time. In case you update Realtek's High Definition Audio to the new version and audio is wrong, then it looks like the new version is not well suited to the hardware and you'd better rollback to the previous driver version.
