    Hello niteghost,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

We recommend you to perform a disk surface scan by going to the command prompt, entering the chkdsk g: /r command. If the problem remains please run Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management, choose Disk Management, maximize the size of window and make a screen shot of this window, then create Acronis Report (see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317), please attach your new hard drive before running AcronisReport.exe and send to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. This will allow us to investigate the problem.

    Thank you.
