    Hi, this not the same thing as InstantRecovery.:)
    As previously stated I'm not sure it's related to the Firstdefense line of softwares.

    Yes, this is VERY related to the FirstDefense line of softwares, same thing, reincarnated to work with Windows 7 and beyond (with other minor improvements, plus I like the new name better because FirstDefense made it sound like a security program).

    But please understand that "Rescue" is very limited compared to "Recovery", you will not be able to do nearly as much, not the incredible flexibility if you were used to the very original FirstDefense. But to answer your question, yes, IR is in the direct genealogical line of FD. :cool:

    It looks to be very similar to the limited First Defense - Rescue that was marketed by Horizon Datasys, and then Leapfrog just before they closed shop.

    For some, it's all you need. It just doesn't have the bells and whistles of archives, multiple snapshots, and such. It's also only about $30, and aimed at home users.
