I am trying to create an Image of a Windows Server 2003 system, using Acronis True Image Server for Windows.

The Windows Server 2003 Domain Controller has a built in Silicon Image 3112A SATARaid controller (BIOS Version 4.2.41)

The system is configured with one RAID 1 array using 2 seagate 200GB hard disks.

When Acronis boots up from the Rescue CD, it generates an warning on the Acronis (Loading, please wait...) Screen

"Medley RAID (08:00): Sorry, this driver currently only supports striped sets (RAID level 0)."

    How can i resolve this?

    please find attached the sysinfo.txt

    Regards
    James

    Hello jdunning,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

First of all please make sure you use the latest build of Acronis True Image 8.0 Server. To download the 903 build please register your program at Acronis support database. Before you can register the product you should create an account on our site or just log in if you have already created it. Then please create a new bootable CD and see whether the problem the problem persists

If the problem remains please try the "acpi=off noapic" workaround and if it doesn't help please create sysinfo.txt file and send to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread (please see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the detailed instructions). We will certainly help you with the solution.

    Thank you.

using the acpi=off noapic workaround as instructed below generates the following error..

Unable to load initial ramdisk. Press <Enter> to proceed...

Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 01:00

    Please try the following workaround:

Please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc (the full version) and press F11 key when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears. After you get the "Linux kernel command line" prompt, please modify it in the following way:

    quiet acpi=off noapic

    Hello jdunning,

I have contacted our Development Team and regret to inform you that we support your controller only when the system is configured with one RAID 0. We are really sorry for the inconveniences.

    Thank you.
