I installed NOD32 on a Windows 2008 Server R2 and now I am having major problems with quickbooks files that are stored on that server. I get an error [Error -6190, -816: QuickBooks was unable to open the company file when opening a file].

I uninstall NOD32 and everything seems to be working fine. Any suggestions? I already tried contacting Intuit on the issue and they said it is an issue within NOD32's Real-Time protection

Does disabling real-time protection help? If so, try configuring it to scan files with default extensions insted of all files and let us know if it helps.

I will give that a try. The thing is when I install it it runs the realtime scanner and locks the file right away. So do i just exclude the *.qbw extensions from the realtime scan? (and where/how do i do that)
