quick format OR format

    This prompt always appear when Installing from XP CD. Why the choice and what is the difference between the two. Thanks

    Quick format basically erases the 'table of contents', format overwrites everything. Doing a full format is worth the time, I've rarely had a good install of Windows with a 'quick format'.

    Somehow, quick-formatting a FAT32 hard disk never gave me a good installation of Windows. NTFS seems fine :)
