I currently am running Ewido 3.5 free, I really like the improvements made with 3.5, esp. with scan speed! And I am thinking of buying it. I have two questions though, first is it as simple as buying it and then putting the license key in my free edition, which will then “unlock” all the features of the full version, or do I need to first un-install the free edition and then re-install with my key? Secondly besides real time protection what else do the paid version offer over the free? Thanks.

EDIT: Also does anyone know if the paid version runs fine without ewidoctrl.exe running? Because I have the service disabled on my free version and everything works fine, but I am not sure if it is needed for the paid version due to the real time scanning.

I just bought it. You get a licence key that converts the trial version easy peasy.
