Just a question for you dudes....

Do you know if this version of Prevx is still incompatible with SANDBOXIE or has this old issue been fixed once and for all?

Look forward for your prompt reply.

    Ths in advance.

    Cheers.

Re: Prevx 3.0 with SafeOnline build 3.0.5.219

Prevx isn't incompatible with Sandboxie, per se, it's just that SafeOnline (one component of Prevx) can't communicate out from the browser because Sandboxie intentionally prevents it (as it should). This can't be fixed on our end but there are some changes that can be made within Sandboxie that will allow SafeOnline to protect the browser. However, the main Prevx antimalware functionality still works fine :)

    Hi!!

Thanks a lot for ur prompt reply.

Could you (or somebody else) pls tell me what are the CHANGES within SANDBOXIE that enable SafeOnline to work fine??

Maybe I have to turn ON the checkbox in the Sandbox Settings > Accessibility settings page, right?

But if I do that some of the protections of Sandboxie are gone, aren't they??

What if I used SANDBOXIE along with PREVX 3.0 without the SafeOnline component?

Could my system be more protected??

    Wait 4 ur feedback.

Personally, I wouldn't turn on the accessibility setting in Sandboxie unless you actually need it because it weakens Sandboxie protection somewhat. If you do decide to do that, it's recommended to compensate by enabling the Sandboxie Drop Rights restriction setting.

A good compromise would be to do all of your secure browsing - online banking, shopping, etc - outside of the sandbox where Prevx SafeOnline will protect you and do your normal unsecured browsing inside of the sandbox.

That would enable you to target Sandboxie and SafeOnline to each provide maximum protection where it matters most: SafeOnline for secured browsing and Sandboxie for normal browsing.

    Just a suggestion.

    Thanks 4 ur suggestion.

Just a final question: what Prevx version do you recommend I should use while browsing on the net along with SANDBOXIE??

    PREVX 3.0 or SafeOnline Facebook?

If you need a full Anti-Malware get Prevx with SafeOnline if you don't and just need Browser security just get the free Facebook version but it will still will let you know if you have infections but will only remove the MBR Rootkit and Adware and the full Prevx with SafeOnline will remove all detected threats! ;)

    OK ths 4 your explanation.

If I've got it right with the freeware SAFEONLINE FACEBOOK I'm protected while banking online even if my PC is already infected by virus and spyware (keyloggers, trojans, backdoors etc....).

    Is it like this?

I've also learned that SAFEONLINE FACEBOOK is incompatible with ZEMANA ANTILOGGER...right??

Just out of curiosity...do you have a comparison chart concerning the performance of the 2 programs? Which one protect better users' browser while surfing on the NET?

    I guess SAFEONLINE FACEBOOK, right??

I'm asking you this bcs I have a copy of ZEMANA ANTILOGGER stored in my USB FLASH DRIVE but of course if your (free) product is better I could decide to give up installing ZEMANA in my system.

Look forward to ur prompt reply.

Ths in advance for your consideration.

Yes you are protected if infected if SafeOnline's settings are on Default Max for HTTPS sites!

Some aspects yes ZEMANA ANTILOGGER is not compatible but I don't use ZEMANA ANTILOGGER as Prevx with SafeOnline protects me!

No we don't have a chart but SafeOnline does more than ZEMANA ANTILOGGER because of the Anti-Malware component behind Prevx SafeOnline!

It's always up to the user what they want to use as everyone wants different Security tools!

    HTH,

    TH

I also split this thread to it's own as it has nothing to do with Prevx 3.0.5.219 Beta since it has gone live!
