lets just say, that you actually wanted to install one of the things that spywareblaster blocks. for example, you want to install the XXXToolbar. will spywareblaster block you from installing it if you are at the xxxtoolbar site and click download? in order to get around that you would just uncheck xxxtoolbar int he list and say "dont protect unchecked items?"

does spywareblaster run even after rebooting? or do you have to run the program, then exit out?

SpywareBlaster does not need to remain running to protect you - after you check all items and press the "Protect" button, you can close down the program. Just remember to run SpywareBlaster at least once a week to check for updates! :)

So yes, the blocks should remain even after rebooting.

If you would want to install spyware/adware/browser hijackers/dialers that are being blocked by SpywareBlaster, you would need to uncheck the associated entries in the protection list, and press the "Remove Protection for Unchecked Items" button. (To help you locate all associated entries, SpywareBlaster offers a Find/Find Next feature - simply right-click on the protection list to access it.)

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,

Yes it will unless you uncheck it which tells SpywareBlaster "don't stop this one"
