When you are using the AMON scanner, under Targets, Extensions, do you have it set for Default or Scan All Files? (BTW, the more I use my new NOD32 the more I like it)

    Have a nice weekend, Acadia.

    Hi Acadia,

I have mine set to scan all Files. Also under Methods i'm set for both Signatures and Heuristics, Heuristic Analysis is set to Deep. And to startup on system start.

    Hi Acadia:

Have you seen this link yet. It's a list of screenshots to help you get started with NOD.

Thanks, but I'm not having any problems using NOD32 (well, at least not anymore). I'm just curious how many users have changed the default in AMON. Obviously "Scan All Files" would give more protection but why would the creators of NOD32 not have all files included in the default. In other words, is "Scan All Files" really necessary, is it overkill? Thanks again.

    Acadia.

Acadia.I was using the default settings under extensions.Heuristics are set at standard.I never thought about "scanning all files" before.I do a system scan at least once a week.I just changed the Amon set-up to scan all files. On the NOD32 scanner I have heuristics set at "deep".

    Acadia,

    It's far from overkill.

Thanks for all your answers. I'm not even sure why I was asking, I already had mine set to "Scan All Files" and my pc hasn't slowed down a bit that I'm aware of. My curiosity just got the best of me, take care.
