Sorry if this question was asked before. I couldn't find the answer.

I'm trying to exclude the files in one folder from realtime scanning.
In the exclusions field I have added:

    F:\Foldername\*.*

However F:\ is a networked shared folder with the UNC name \\Fileserver\DATA\
Now when I look at the files that are being scanned I still see them being scanned as:
    \\Fileserver\DATA\Foldername\filename.ext

In the tree to point out files and folders to add only the drive letters are listed, and manually adding
    \\Fileserver\DATA\Foldername\*.*
    didn't help either.

What am I overlooking or doing wrong?
Most of the files in this folder are databases and their indexes, which get accessed every few seconds, so it is a waste to have them scanned each time.

How did you verify that the files are actually being scanned? Try putting eicar.com to that folder if you want to check if it's actually scanned and detected.

    Hi Marcos,

When I look at Protection Status > Statistics > Scanned object
I see the filenames appear on a regular basis.

Thanks for looking into this. :)
