Is MP3Gain from sourceforge able to be run on Windows 7 Pro (64 bit)?

Thanks in advance for any info on this.

yes I have used it a lot and with no issue, but now that I upgrade to 8 is not compatible with the new OS, giving me some error and not starting
    So:
    Win7 64bit - working
Win 8 64bit - not working at the moment

MP3Gain works here as well on Windows7 64bit. It downloads to the 32bit Programs file folder.

I havve ever used the portable version (Full 1.3.4.zip http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/download.php ) and it works great in 7
No need to install this kind of software when there are a portable version too.
Is a pain is not working in 8, I hope dev looks at this issue, but the project seems an abandonware, last version is 2009

Working fine here on x64. Has anyone using 1.3.4 encountered the "accidentally shortens the filename" bug? I'm still using 1.2.5 to avoid this issue.
