    hi
    i bought jv16 power tool , i have 1.8.0.472 ( 2008 )
well it's not the new version

but i don't find new features that justify an upgrade, do i? i don't know the new version

    well jv16 has a built in encrypter , does it encrypt @ AES - 256 bit ?

and is there a feature to search encryped files inside jv16 power tool

maybe someusers have a newer version , could help me

    thanks
    have a great day

    v1.9.1.606 here.
Never used the encryption feature, but apparently Algorithm options are: 3way, 3DES, Blowfish, Diamond II, FROG, Gost, Rijmdael, Safer-SK128, Sapphire II, SCOP, Shark, Skipjack, Square, Tea, Twofish.
    Key Generator options: CRC-32, Haval-160, MD5, RipeMD160, Sapphire II-160, SHA1, Snefru-256.

You can encrypt single or multiple files, but not directories.
Personally, I prefer the free AxCrypt with it's right-click context menu accessable from my file manager. Much more convenient.

Don't believe there is a search or find feature. You can however encrypt file name.
I believe release I'm using is latest.
    jv16 2010 won't be released until April.
No mention in their "what's new" indicates any improvements to their encryption module.

    Cheers
