We had a threat and file quarantined:
    win32/kryptik.BCAtrojan
After it was quarantined we lost the ability to access the internet.
Internet diagnosis said to check firewall software settings.

We have Eset smart security 3.0

    Thanks

I'd suggest looking up the file in quarantine, restoring it to the disk (with real-time protection temporarily disabled) and submit it to ESET per the instructions here. Also enclose a description of the issue you're having as well as a log from ESET SysInspector. If it's not an FP it could be malware that, when removed, corrupts some network dependencies.

My problem is that I cannot access the internet from that computer. is it safe to put a zipped file on a disk and send from another computer if it is malware?

    Sorry,

Forgot to thank you for your prompt response.. I get flustered with computer issues and half my brain goes numb.
