Never having had a virus alert before, I have now seen one for the first time on a pc that I installed nod on yesterday. Two quick questions:
    • the alerts related to files in a backup folder of old emails on a backup drive. The folder in itself contained only old emails that are no longer required. Based on the alert with some files cleaned and some quarantined, I have now deleted the whole folder. The quarantined files are still shown in NOD. What to do with them?
    • Wondering why this turned up today after reinstalling NOD. The original scan yesterday with the same tweaking a la Blackspear did not show these files? Obviously they were there before.

Could have been be due to a corrupted install of NOD.

You can look at the threat log and see what shows up. If you don't need the files in quarantine, you can delete them.
Because NOD knows these viruses, there is no need to submit them.

It could also be a new signature added that has picked up the files.

    Cheers :D
