The Qt Company has officially released Qt 6.0 as the latest major release to this open-source, cross-platform toolkit.

The Qt 6.0 toolkit brings many Quick 3D improvements and other graphics stack changes including more work around Vulkan and other modern graphics APIs, a package manager for extra libraries, next-generation QML support, C++17 support requirements, tooling improvements, host/platform updates, and much more.

The Qt Company is transparent in acknowledging that Qt 6.0 isn't as feature complete as the current Qt 5.15 toolkit.
Speaking of later Qt6 releases, Qt 6.1 and 6.2 should come sooner than normally anticipated with trying to shift the bi-annual release cycles to a sort of April and September~October release cadence.

Qt 6.2 LTS is out today as the first long-term support release in the Qt6 series and also with all of the major modules now ported over from Qt5 in aiming to make this a suitable point to transition from Qt 5.15 LTS.

Qt 6.2 LTS is a very important step for The Qt Company in being that first long-term support release of the new series and really being the point at which Qt6 will now need to shine for developers and users in being a viable step past Qt 5.15 with near feature parity. The announcement today noted, "almost all our users should be able to migrate their code from Qt 5 over to Qt 6. "

Qt 6.2 platform coverage adds Windows 11 support, macOS on Apple Silicon, webOS support has been improved, restores INTEGRITY and QNX real-time operating system support, and the WebAssembly target is a technology preview.

I'm happy to announce the release of Qt 6.2. Qt 6.2 is the release we've all been working towards since we started our path towards a new major version of Qt. It benefits from all the architectural upgrades we've done for Qt 6 and includes essentially all the additional modules you enjoyed with Qt 5.15.
Qt 6.2 is also the first release of Qt 6 that will be long-term supported by The Qt Company for Qt commercial customers.

Qt 6.2.1 Released With 200+ Bug Fixes

It's been just shy of one month since Qt 6.2 debuted as the first Qt6 Long-Term Support (LTS) release and ported many of the remaining modules over from Qt5. Shipping today is now Qt 6.2.1 as the first point release with more than two-hundred fixes.

Qt 6.2.1 has a ton of wide ranging fixes throughout its many components from possible Wayland client crashes to documentation issues to fixing build problems on select architectures like Arm... Quite a diverse collection of fixes as always for the many supported operating systems and hardware platforms handled by this open-source toolkit. There is also an upgrade to SQLite 3.36 and other maintenance items addressed by Qt 6.2.1.

The Qt 6.2.1 release can be downloaded from Qt.io along with more information on the release. Qt 6.2.2 is already planned for release at the end of November.

Qt 6.2.1 is available to everyone with Qt 6.2 LTS not yet moving to Qt's "commercial-only" LTS phase. Open-source users will continue to see patch-level point releases until Qt 6.3 is available, per The Qt Company's plans laid out last year and initially enacted for Qt 5.15 LTS.

QT 6.2.1 (October 27, 2021)

I am happy to announce we have released the Qt 6.2.1 today.

This first patch release to the Qt 6.2 series contains more than 220 bug fixes to the top of Qt 6.2.0 release. See more information about the most important changes and bug fixes from Qt 6.2.1 release note.
Like usual you can add the Qt 6.2.1 in the existing online installation by using the maintenance tool or do a clean installation by using the Qt Online Installer.

Qt 6.2 and Windows 11

Now that Windows 11 has been out for a few weeks, we have been busy verifying it against Qt 6.2 to reinforce our commitment to Windows as a key development OS used but the Qt developers. We are happy to say that we have not found major issues. A few minor UI details are being worked but nothing that would prevent using Windows 11 for development by the Qt developers. This also covers supporting Windows 11 as a cross-compilation target. We are, however, very interested in any feedback you might have regarding Qt Windows 11 support.

Qt 6.4 Released With WebAssembly Promotion, Qt HTTP Server

The Qt Company this morning released Qt 6.4 as their newest half-year update to this popular open-source and cross-platform toolkit.

Qt 6.4 features its WebAssembly support promoted out of the prior "technology preview" state and now means Qt WASM is ready to take on greater use. Qt 6.4 also features new technology preview modules of Qt HTTP Server and Qt Quick 3D Physics. Qt TextToSpeech has also been ported over finally to the Qt 6 world.
The Qt HTTP Server module makes it easy to embed an HTTP server within applications, complete with optional TLS support.
