    Is it safe to put sandboxes under Sandboxie's program directory like i.e. FileRootPath=C:\Sandboxie\Sandboxes\%USER%\%SANDBOX% ?

    As far as I recall, it is not recommended to put sandbox folders in the sandboxie directory (%SbieHome%).

    Is there any special reason you want to do that? Just curious.

    boxes are here put on another drive, with selected rights and access. so i dont have any loss when windows went bad. and i can share boxes with multibooted windows.

    I just wanted to keep it all in one place.
    So what is the safest way? Installing Sandboxie in C:\Program Files and the FileRootPath to a secondary drive, or both on a secondary drive but into separate directories?

    I think you could do it the other way around:
    FileRootPath=C:\Sandboxes\%USER%\%SANDBOX%
    and install C:\Sandboxes\Sandboxie

    or
    FileRootPath=C:\Sandboxie\Sandboxes\%USER%\%SANDBOX%
    and install C:\Sandboxie\Sandboxie
