I would stay away from these unknown browsers, but that's just me. And on what platform is it based, I suppose Chromium?
It is is a .NET-executable and after snooping around with a hex-editor in some files i can see leftovers like: Code: ...\workspace\chrome59_windows\src\... This doesn't mean that it is really based on Chromium v59, but who knows.
It's not actually an unknown browser... It's quite well known in the mobile market. Its just their Windows version that is new...
Yes, i know but the important part is the version. I couldn't find on their website on which version of Chromium Puffin Browser is based. I assume Puffin Browser is based on Chromium v59 ("...\workspace\chrome59_windows\src\..."), but v59 is "outdated". In this case security fixes from v60-62 of Chromium are not included in the current version of Puffin Browser.

Can I check whether 1) Do I need another 3rd-party VPN if use Puffin Browser since it comes with cloud protection and all traffic to Puffin server are encrypted? 2) Do I need another 3rd-party AV if use Puffin Browser since it comes with Cloud Protection and virus cannot infect your phone? Thanks
