Thought I would post it here since our company is somewhat quiet about having extended the offer. If you have not downloaded and activated greenborder pro (with a real email address), please do so soon.

There was an offer to email out a year free license for the first 10,000 downloads, which started on June 27th. Two weeks later, the count is above 37,000. Since we blew through the 10,000 number, we've decided to extend the free license to anyone who downloads by July 28th, 2006.

Anyway, download and activate the software, and you'll receive a free year license via email. The email address used for activation is answered with a license key.

Very interesting. Sort of a cross between HIPS & a VM(?). When is support for Firefox expected? Before the July 28 deadline or with in the years free trial?

I should post more about why the offer was extended... The feedback we've received is invaluable, and in cases where we found an issue, users were willing to go out of their way to help us figure it out. Also the support load turned out to be much less than expected (less than 2%).

Firefox can be run in GreenBorder by protecting its' shortcut on the desktop. However Firefox is not fully QA'd, and there probably some other plug-ins and behaviour we need to examine with Firefox. So we will officially support FireFox in the next feature release. IE7 beta 2 works, however IE7 beta 3 created some odd behaviour that we're working on.

The year license that's sent out by the 28th will also work with subsequent versions of GreenBorder Pro. Including the upcoming FireFox version.
