There was a time when GUI of DrWeb, Avira were also very bad. But then one didn't label them as junk .... ;)

Lets not judge a book by its cover.

VirusBuster, isn't that the same engine as PCTool's AV?

Its older screens were much worse, if you had seen them you would have found this one improved a lot.

    And it was never junk!!

Here is the 2009's screen (looks exactly the same as 2006's, 2007's and 2008's):

Does anyone know if this AV supports Win 9x/ME? I cannot get Proland to answer this question. If not, then why wouldn't a Win 9x/Me entusiast choose simply a good, free FW and VirusBuster, which supports 9x/ME. VirusBuster is cheaper than proland.

Won't install on 9x/ME systems. DLL errors on Win 2000 SP 4 OSR 1. Don't want it for XP/Vista/7

Better use VirusBuster products then. Proland uses VB engine, it would amount to almost the same.

    Thanks,

According to PCTools forum- it's the Virus Buster engine modified by PCTools and with a different database.
