   I would like to know if disabling filesharing will provide me full protection against malware on other computers on the network and getting hacked by others connected to said wireless network? Also using a VPN help? Thanks.

   If really want to be safe and if you really need it the only way is the vpn, but maybe in your case with a good firewall is enought
