I am using a 64 bit machine, and if I used a stand alone firewall it would be OA.
So I am thinking about taking advantage of this offer, but would like to know when the clock starts. I would hate to see it expire without ever installing it.

I have asked the question on the OA forums, but do not know if I will get an answer today. I think the offer is for today only.
Anyone here know the answer? Thanks.

    Regards,
    Jerry

The offer is till June 30th 2010 and you can buy more than one and when you install the code for the first time then it starts not when you buy it!

Thanks, but the top of the page has the words, "Event Date: 10-June 10 (Single Day Event)"
At the bottom of the page it does show 30 June. I was not sure if the other offer did not expire till the end of June, but the $ 9.95 off was only good for today.
    Thanks,
    Jerry

It's just how the Calender works as I'm a Global Mod there and you can Buy till June 30th 2010 as it is stated but you can see the whole month from this link: http://www.calendarofupdates.com/updates/index.php?app=calendar

    TH

EDIT: It is $30.00 off not $9.95 off! ;)

It even works with the 2 year family pack that you can use on 3 computers and still $30.00 off! :thumb:

Is there a deal for renewal licenses as well?
(For those of us who still have a year or less on our present OA license.)

Thanks for the reply. When I logged in to the "renewal" area and went to extend the license, I didn't see anywhere to put in a coupon code and it takes you straight to paypal for checkout. (Unless there's something within paypal. I didn't log in there.)

You can Buy a license and save it as it only starts the count down when you actually install the license code the first time! That should help?

I got a reply from "catprincess" over on the OA forum (she's a treasure over there) and she said that the offer was mostly directed toward new customers as you couldn't extend a "current" license with it. But, as you say, you could purchase a new one and activate it when needed.

Since I have near a year remaining on my current two year license, I'll wait until I get closer and see what's available then. One way or another I'm sure I'll be staying with OA as I've found it to be a great program for my needs and level of ability.

    Thanks for your help.

After installation, you can disable mail & web shield and uninstall the firewall, that's what I do.

Seems like Tall Emu has been quite busy with the promotions ... I hope they are keeping afloat with the revenue so we can keep enjoying a nice firewall/hips combo for many years to come. :D

Anyone know when they will release the next version or update anytime soon?

OK, I think Tall Emu has just lost a customer due to their ball-breaking PITA process of (re)registration.

Too bad, I used to like Online Armor.

I was perfectly happy with the free version, but the promotion was too good to pass up so I upgraded to Premium...

In my experience, there were all kinds of problems on Win 7 64-bit. I'm waiting for the official 64-bit version.

As I recall, there *might* be an option to NOT install the firewall (FW) when first installing OA.

I know for sure that the FW can be totally removed after OA is up & running...
