Programme to open Unetbootin in Linux?

What Programme do I need to open Unetbootin in Linux?

 

If I'm not mistaken, Unetbootin requires root on linux so don't forget sudo/su -c
LiveUSBcreator (should be in major linux repositories) works fine also.

 

Right click on Unetbootin, select properties, then select permissions, then select 'Allow executing file as a programme'

 

Thankyou, I tried that but it wont allow me to place a click in "Allow executing file as a programme". If I place a click it just disappears. I guess I need do something else?

 

You may need to log in as root. What version on Linux are you running?

 

Linux Mint. Could you please explain exactly the steps I need to log in as root, thankyou.

 

1st where did you install unetbootin from if linux mint software manager .....sypnatic apt-get ....etc then you see icon and when you click in it you ask for root password which is what you created during install simple and easy
