Programe modules query

    Since upgrading to version 6, using Win XP, apart from the virus data notifications, I keep getting notifications " The programe modules have been updated" this can happen several times a day.

    Has anyone a clue as to why this should now happen?

    Hello,

    I believe one of the requested changes for V6 was the ability to notify users when the various modules (archive, heuristics, and so forth) had been updated.

    Perhaps you could post a part of your ESET Event log here so that we can see how often modules updated. Definitely you shouldn't get this notification with every attempt to update.

    This isn't unique to version 6. I noticed this at work using ESET Endpoint Antivirus v5.
