    Hello,

I am trying to install the OS-Selector under Vista. Vista is installed in a primary partition and everytime when I acitivate the OS-Selector I am not able to boot Vista. The OS starts and when I choose Vista, the PC starts again. Only when I disable the OS-Selector and recover the MBR from the Vista partition with TrueImage I am able to boot Vista again.

I tried the same with XP and there was no problem.

    Im starting to despair.

    Sorry for my bad english

There are still bugs with OSS and Vista (and XP, for that matter). Make sure you're using the latest build of DD/OSS (currently 2,160).

If OSS is not booting Vista correctly, you could try deactivating OSS, boot from the the Vista DVD and do a repair, then boot into Vista and reinstall/reactivate OSS.

Another option is to try the Vista "cheat" method of detecting Vista as XP by copying the XP boot files into the root directory of the Vista partition. This method works for some. It it detailed in this thread: Making Vista visible to Acronis OS Selector: A Simpler Solution
