    Running Win7 rtm x64 with Eset nod32 antivirus x64 version 4.0.437.0
Yesterday I could not boot win7, all I got was a black screen with the mouse cursor.
I could boot to safe mode, but there was nothing there I could do.
Luckily I dual boot xp with win7 so I could use my pc.
Today I tried again, and it booted fine.. very strange since I didnt fix the issue yesterday.
I went through the event viewer log of win7 and I noticed there were errors that said ESET service hung on starting, about the time I got this problem.

That got me thinking that maybe ESET released some faulty defs yesterday..?
Can anyone confirm that this was the case?
I hope it is, otherwise I must find out what else caused this strange behaviour.. :doubt:

    Hello,

I am not aware of any similar behavior being reported.

Are you able to reproduce the issue at all?

    Regards,

I have Windows 7 x64 RTM and NOD32 4.0.437.0 on 2 machines and had no problems in the last few days. Looks like you will have to keep looking for the problem...
