Problems installing SpywareBlaster 3.1

I can't get Spywareblaster 3.1 to install without the following message
"This program has been damaged, possibly by a bad sector of the hard drive or a virus. Please reinstall it."

I've tried re-installation - negative result
I've tried to download from another site - no result

I'm currently having problems with windows installer which won't stop running when you click on a program, Ive used gpedit.msc to edit the group policy, doesn't appear to work, the installer window appears then shuts down

I'm also experiencing BHO message windows although I've requested them to be removed silently.

Please does someone know of a solution
