    Hi had a similar problem before and use hijack which got rid of it but this time it isn't working.
    What ever i have every time i run hijack it just returns again the next time i switch on.
    Also it knocked my media player out.
    All my search engines, history and system restore says it is switched off but when i look at it it says it is just suspended.
    Ahhhhhgggg it's doing my head in
    I have tried all the programmes but nothing seems to get rid of it.

    can you please post a full hjt log

    you have either edited the log before posting or have set msconfig to prevent various start ups or that was taken in safe mode

    or did you use the ignore in hjt

    I think i might have posted after trying to get rid of things
    Not sure really, sorry here is the latest on .
    I think the most important thing for me to want to get rid of is the search engine highjacker.
    Was going to send you the log but now that has been affected it wont save it for me in a log file.

    before we try to fix anything

    it is important to find out what you have already removed

    There should be lots of other entries in hijackthis, I assume you have fixed things

    open Hijackthis, press config/backups, select everything there and press restore

    I think you have to restore each item individually

    when we see what was there we can try and fix it properly

    another way might be

    open HJt/ press config/ misc tools, tick both little boxes about minor & empty sections and press generate start up list

    copy & paste that log here

    tried doing the first thing but there was nothing in backup to dislpay so tried it the other way.
    Well here it is (a biggie i know) i hoep you know what your looking for as i havent a clue,lol.

    Before you start, please unzip hijackthis to a separate folder. The program will make backups in the folder in the folder it's in.
    These easily get lost in a Temp folder.
