    I installed v10 on a laptop, but I was having lots of problems, it seems very buggy and slower related to v9 so I downgrade to v9, which I wasn't having any problems whatsover...

    Anyway, I had windows xp and ubuntu linux installed on my machine and they both appeared in os selector, after the downgrade, I only see windows xp, I can't boot into ubuntu now... any ideas?

    Hello Nazgulled,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

    Could you please clarify what exact problems you have encountered with using Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0? Please describe them in more details. I hope that we will be able to help you to resolve them all.

    Could you please clarify the following:
    - What messages do you see on the screen while booting Ubuntu?
    - What boot loader your Ubuntu uses (LiLo, Grub, etc.)?

    Please also create Acronis Report in the way described below:

    - Download and run Acronis Report Utility;
    - Select the "Create Bootable Floppy" option;
    - Insert a blank floppy disk in the A: drive and proceed with creation of the bootable floppy;
    - Boot the computer from this diskette and wait for report creation process to finish;
    - Collect the report file from the floppy.

    If you do not have a floppy drive then it is also possible to create a report from under Windows as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Attach the collected report file to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
