This problem I noticed a few days ago. In System Preferences clicking on Software Updates I keep getting the spinning gear wheel. Before it only took a few seconds to show the upgrade to macOS Monterey or any other update. In the Dock I'm still showing the number 1. Anyone else having this spinning gear wheel problem? Is the Apple server down? I'm running the OS that is in my signature.

That's what I use to get what your screen shot shows, but not no more. All I get now is what's in my screen shot for the last few days. Even rebooting does nothing to fix it.

IDK. I managed to update but it was weird.

    That's a relief!
