    Hi, I need help.

    I ran spybot and adaware and found the cleverIEhooker files. I fixed them but they reappeared. Here's the logfile from hijackthis. I'd really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks a bunch.

    Also, in the recovery folder for Spybot there are a bunch of zip files with "funny" names, which I think should not be there. Something like 60 zips for CleverIEhooker, advertisingcom, etc etc. Should i delete these? thanks.

    JC

    Hi chilango81,

    Before you start, please unzip hijackthis to a separate folder. The program will make backups in the folder in the folder it's in.
    These easily get lost in a Temp folder.

    Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = file://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SearchBar.htm

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}_ - (no file)
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4FC95EDD-4796-4966-9049-29649C80111D}_ - (no file)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TV Media] C:\TV MEDIA\TVM.EXE

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [TV Media] C:\TV MEDIA\TVM.EXE

    O8 - Extra context menu item: LimeShop Preferences - file://C:\Program Files\LimeShop\System\Temp\limeshop_script0.htm

    Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
    C:\TV MEDIA <= entire folder

    Regards,

    Pieter
