ok so here is the problem im having i am using the portable version of a-squared anti malware.
i have a file with tons of viruses for testing purposes of av software there is about 6000 in there, most of them are in COM form but the problem is a-squared is only detecting about 34 of them out of 6000 and on the other computer it works fine.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
    THANKS

A-squared is an outdated product. You should use Emsisoft.

I think a-squared is made by emsisoft, if not what would you recommend replacing a-squared with. preferably freeware if possible

Try Emsisoft Emergency Kit.Although its size is heavy but useful.

i have been using a-squared emergency kit, but like i was saying that i have a test file of about 5000 viruses for testing puprposes and it detected all 5000 without a problem.
but now all of a sudden it is only detecting 34 out the 5000 that it normally detects, so something fishy is going on here.
its either a registry change or something of the sort im not quite sure.
