Problem while installing Norton Antivirus 2004

    I tried to install Norton antivirus 2004 in a pc with Windows 2000 with SP2. The installation freezes at the point where norton writes "please wait, configuring norton antivirus" I had scanned and removed all the viruses, repaired the installation, installed SP4, and removed the previous incomplete installation of Norton from add/remove programs, manually the rest of the files and registry keys, but i tried to reinstall it it freezes at the same point. Any help?

    You probably have seen this info. If not, I hope it helps.
    As a former Norton user, I found it to be a bear at times when problems arose.
