    Here's the problem:

I've created an image of the whole hard drive. It has two partitions. One an NTFS partition containing windows. The other is a FAT32 partition used for system recovery. Both are visible to windows.

I have the image on an external USB hard drive, and I am using the boot CD to boot the computer. It sees the hard drive I want to put the image on, the external hard drive, and the image on the external hard drive. However, when I go to restore the image, the software wants the make the fat32 partition the c: drive and the main bootable partition nothing. (Yes literally it gives it a drive letter of " - ")

Then when the image is done coping, and I reboot the computer, it comes up into the recovery partition and hangs.

Anyone know why this is, or perhaps what I am doing wrong?
