Privatefirewall update

    I downloaded the new PF update v 7.029.1 which added support for Win 8 but when I tried to save it on the desktop was told I cannot save it because I didn't have the permission from the administrator.

    But, I just bought this computer new and I'm the only user. How is it that I'm not the administrator? How do I go about making myself the administrator of my own computer?

    maybe download the latest version direct from the site (assuming you are doing it from within the prog). Remove the previous version and install new

    Starting with Windows Vista the default user account is a limited one; this is for security reasons. You can opt to run individual programs as administrator or you can disable the feature (not recommended):
