Privacy Expert 7 problem.. would upgrade help?

    I have Privacy Expert 7 build 541 scheduled to clean out my Internet files on shutdown.

    Quite often when I shut down, the shutdown process hangs and I get a popup window that says "End Program - Layered Hidden Window", with option to cancel or end program. Ctrl-Alt-Del does nothing...

    If I select end program, my system will shutdown, but Privacy Expert does not run.

    I'm assuming this is a problem with Privacy Expert on my system, as I have never seen the Layered Hidden Window message prior to installing PE 7 and do not see it if I remove the scheduled task in PE.

    I am wondering if an upgrade to PE version 8 would help me, and if so, would I be eligible to obtain a free upgrade, since I am experiencing problems with version 7? I was hoping a new build to v7 would fix this, but doesn't look like that is going to happen.
