Primedius firewall, is it good?

    To judge from the screenshots, program control seems rather limited (you can allow, block or prompt but there seems no way of allowing access to specific ports, protocols or addresses for a single program only) and there is no mention of stateful inspection, so I'd presume they do not offer it (keeping track of active network connections and only allowing packets that belong to existing connections or ones for programs allowed to start new ones).

    On that basis I'd suggest a free firewall like Kerio or Outpost (which do offer detailed program control) would be a better choice for most. However leaktest performance (see http://www.firewallleaktester.com/ for a full list) online stealth and ability to resist termination by malware are also factors, and these cannot be checked without installing the firewall.
