The Prevx SafeOnline tab disappears after surfing for awhile, this is on win7/32, Prevx SafeOnline 3 (facebook) and chrome 12 stable.

On Prevx "locked" pages such as gmail, I can easily copy and paste, is this the way it's supposed to work?

    Any ideas ?

It's funny that you ask it.

For more than once we were told that Prevx only supports Google Chrome 2/3, officially (-http://www.prevx.com/safeonline.asp#browser). Which, on its turn, is a bit... how to politely put it... I got no better word than stupid.

Why do I say it's stupid? Because Google Chrome automatically updates, so it would be fair that most people who are using Google Chrome are on version 12, which is the latest stable release.

So, why hasn't Prevx ever keep up with such evolution? Why still living in the "past"?

I will have to wait for Joe to appear and confirm, but it is my belief that Safeonline does indeed support the current versions of Chrome. The "Supports Chrome 2/3" text would more than likely be out-of-date website content which needs updating.

Again, I would need Joe to confirm, but that is my understanding :)

The last version of Chrome I've personally tested is Chrome 11 which worked fine but I suspect 12 will be working overall as well - the only issue is the management of the browser tab which sometimes does disappear due to the translucent background of the browser.

You should still be able to copy/paste - this is only blocked when pasting into a suspicious program.

I think we should update the website content to reflect this :)

OK, thanks for the info, will this be fixed in version 3, or in 4?
Besides, will there be a standalone safeonline?

In regards to the copy/paste, I did the spyshelter anti.exe test, which is flagged as malicious by prevx, and it captured everything, keystrokes, screen captures etc.

    Hey TH,

that's what I did, I did try gmail, my bank, your link and a couple of others. Antitest.exe key-logged happily away.

    Try for yourself: -http://www.spyshelter.com/download/AntiTest.exe-

    Thanks

Can you please send a scan log to Prevx as stated here https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1662381&postcount=1 to see if they can see something to help you with?

    Thanks,

    TH

Do a scan via the GUI (Scan My PC Now Button) and then send that log to Prevx! ;)

Now we're talking, log is on the way.

Will you give antitest a shot, and what about the standalone safeonline in version 4?

    Thanks

I will test but as the Beta is a Closed Beta I can't say anything here in public but if I have issues I will report to them!
