It had to happen at some point!
Yes great they've finally achieved this...congratulations to all!
Just wondering how some licenses might upgrade, however e.g. a SafeOnline only one?
From the link you posted.
So Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus has everything and more than Prevx 3.0 with SafeOnline.
Yes, thanks TH, that's what I figured (migrated to AV version) but wasn't fully sure. This is very good news for Prevx and SafeOnline users indeed!
Would this be the same Prevx company which was based in derby here in the uk.Heard they were a very good antivirus company.
That is both correct AFAIK.
So does this mean we'll see a change in WSA? Or was the technology already used to create WSA?
WSA is the result of improvements and enhancements to prevx technologies
The current Webroot line of products is essentially Prevx 4. Webroot bought the company in 2010 (http://www.webroot.com/En_US/pr/momentum/corp/technology-acquisition-cloud-security-110110.html); their technologies have been a part of Webroot products since Fall 2011. Some forum users even did initial testing during 2011 prior to the public release of WSA.
Ok that's what I figured. Just making sure they didn't incorporate something else.
dont delete prevx website its so good with the
That will go eventually, but the idea is/was to have something similar at Webroot. It is a project that they will be/are working on, but other priorities have taken over that side of things.
