Just prior to 116 > 119 and the "expired license" symptom has re-occurred again. Looks like I need to try another SAFE BOOT, uninstall + PX3 remover and re-install again as suggested by Joe.

Yes that is very strange as I have not seen this problem at all with my 4 computer single license number! When you are upgrading is there any other security programs that could be blocking the the new Build from installing properly? With my setup the only thing that pops-up is Look'n'Stop to let the new version of Prevx access to the Internet!

Interesting... I'll be circling back around with our licensing guys again to see if they've found anything further and I'll let you know my results!

Thanks but apart from AVG 9.x free and MS security essentials on Win7Ult (admittedly running in VMware under OSX10.6.3), but this also occurred on Win XP Pro (native) with AVG and WinDefender/MSSE.
A re-install was originally done when I had licensing hiccups going from 4 to 6 seats but I haven't done it since. It stopped occurring after Joe was initially checking with the licensing crew and just before I was about to un/reinstall again as per the PX Support's advice following Joe's request for details.

It is also cosmetic in-so-far as the initial popup is during initial desktop bootup but is then accompanied by an "all-system-are-go" additional Px popup during final part of desktop initialisation.

I've got no problem with re-installing (or even leaving as is), my only concern was not to prematurely remove the forensics if this was an intermittent/race condition that justified further indepth investigation.
It also (so far) has only been seen on 2 out of 6 seats, which points more probably to machine specific causes. (The others run various XP/Vista versions also with WinDefender/AVG free)

Clearly if literally only a handfull of users are affected and more importantly it doesn't functionally degrade the security of the product then it is a very low priority item...?

I've got one more question - It is known that after a format you have to deactivate your license before you are able to activate it on a fresh windows installation but when you do this more than once/very often your license will give you an answer that it has reached the level of activations - then you have to write to f.ex. Joe and he has to reset the key manual.

what about this kind of situation:
I have installed a fresh system, made ghost image, installed a lot of software and it is just a matter of time and he won't run so smoothly as he should - so I want to restore my ghost image and (here my question) what will happen if I install Prevx and try to activate my old license without deactivating it?

What I did is I did a clean install of Windows 7 added all the programs that require activation Prevx included and activated all of them and then I did an Image with Acornis True Image 2010 so if I need to go back ever to the original Image then all is fine as everything was Activated! But I do weekly Images and delete the old one's but I keep the original Image and the one I just did for that week! ;)

That's definitely the preferred technique :) Taking an image of a PC with Prevx already activated will leave your license intact regardless of other changes made to the system.
