Blue Screens and System Crashing!!!!! Help!

    Hi all,

I am facing a strange issue. I just installed Prevx Home on my PC, which went fine. After the installation, I am regulalry getting "BLUE SCREENS" and my system crashes!! I have tried prevx in the past, but had no such issues on my system.

Also, whenever I try to modify Prevx's security settings through the management console, I immediately get the blue screen and the crash follows!

    Please help!

    Abhishek

As soon as I open the Management Console of PrevX, the system crashes! How can I change the settings in this case?

Ok...so here is the update from my side...

I uninstalled Prevx, cleaned my registry, downloaded a fresh copy and installed it...the problem remained...my pc crashed.

I uninstalled prevx and decided not to use it.

At this point of time, I was using Avast Prof, Ewido Full, Filseclab, Arovax Shield ans various AS on-demand . My system crashed still....without prevx.

I got confused as to what is causing the trouble, so I uninstalled Arovax Shield too. Still my PC crashes whenever it wants to.

I then installed MSAS as my spyware protection and ran a scan and my PC crashed again!!!!!!!

What is happeningo_O I simply do not understand what is causing this. My PC crashes every 2-4 hour with that HORRIBLE BLUE SCREEN!!!!

Is my computer compromised or their is some incompatibilityo_O

I will really appreciate your help.

Ok...so going thru the Event Viewer and Error Reports, I found the details of the problem:

    Details
    Product: Windows Operating System
    ID: 1003
    Source: System Error
    Version: 5.2
    Symbolic Name: ER_KRNLCRASH_LOG
    Message: Error code %1, parameter1 %2, parameter2 %3, parameter3 %4, parameter4 %5.

    Explanation
A blue screen (Stop error) was reported. The message contains details about the error. A matching event with Event ID 1001 might also appear in the event log. This matching event displays information about the specific error that occurred.

    User Action
    No user action is required.

    Error Description:

    Error code 1000000a, parameter1 8066100f, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 8066100f.

I dont understand what to do!!! Please help!

I think Richrf said he had this problem too.

I don't know if this will work, but you could use totaluninstaller (I think that's its name)...you install Prevx with it running, then use Totaluninstaller to remove every trace of Prevx.

    Hope it works.

If not...and no one has an answer...formatting might be looking tempting.

Are the same error codes appearing in event viewer after a bsod ?

Did you ever check services in admin tools to see if any Prevx service
was still listed there as enabled ?

Did you try what Vikorr suggested using Total Uninstall to reinstall
    Prevx and uninstall it ?
