Prevx.exe application error

Every few weeks, I am getting an error from Prevx on boot which stops Prevx from running. The messages says:

Prevx.exe application error
The instruction at 0x0043fc0d referenced memory at 0x02875001. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate the program.

I cannot then remove the program through add remove programs & the only way to fix it is for my IT support to run forceuninstall.exe, then reboot & then remove Prevx from add/remove programs. Then reboot & install Prevx again - which then works for a few weeks. This is now the 3rd occurrence of this problem.

Any fixes please?

 

Could you send me the PrevxCSI folder under AppData to see if I can find any cause?

Hmm, no folder there at all Joe. Where exactly should it be please?

 

C:\ProgramData\PrevxCSI or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PrevxCSI

Does the idea behinde CSI in PrevxCSI come from CSI New York Or CSI Los Angeles
