    Hi,

I wanted to know which Prevx module has the real-time HIPS protection built in? Looking at the official website data it looks like it's the "Protection" suite that has "Realtime Malware Protection". Am I right?

And how protected will I be with this "Realtime Malware Protection" together with my avast! antivirus? (should be pretty safe I guess) :shifty:

    Hey!

PrevX don't have a HIPS module, however it does indeed have Real-time malware protection.

And teaming up PrevX with Avast sounds like a good idea since I haven't seen or heard any issues running those two side by side, and Yes you will be very protected.

    OK. thanks.

But from what it does, the Prevx (with its realtime malware protection)be considered as a behavior blocker, am I right?

Yes it does and you can increase via Heuristics settings but you will possibly get more pop-ups but it does not mean that they are FP's or malware! I have all my Heuristics settings set to the Max without problems!

Your Welcome! If you get a Heuristic Detection the warning window will say Age/Spread detection but again it does not mean that it is malware or FP but the community database has not seen much of it and is very new! But if it is true malware it will say it is some type such as Low Risk Malware or High Risk Malware or even High Risk Cloaked Malware!

Prevx "technically" does have a HIPS but not in the conventional sense :) Instead of showing prompts to the end user to allow/block changes to the system, Prevx automates the decision by seeing how programs behave across the entire Prevx userbase.

Let me know if you have any questions! :)
