On WinXPPro SP3, would like to change the
    Code:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus
directory to another partition (so said "profile" dir can be "saved" through OS reloads, etc).

Currently manage this with other apps that don't natively support profile-dir moves (like this) with Windows junction. Hoping to do same with NOD32.... but can't find a way to safely stop the NOD32 process(es)/service(s) to do so. Seeking tips on how to move profile dir in general, but thinking this (probably purposely) hard-to-sop process may prove problematic... and then restarting it manually and/or subsequent reboot might be problematic. Don't know.

Thoughts, suggestions? Anybody successfully moved the profile dir? Does ESET "support" this kind of activity?

Instructions for setting the location of the "Documents and settings" / Users folder can be found here. There's no other way how to accomplish what you'd like to.
