I have for the first time downloaded Portable firefox and tried to use it on my university computer. (I am despising using Internet Explorer on there computers). But it is saying when i click on the portable firefox icon to start the program connection refused when trying to contact mozilla.org.

This is happening no matter what URL i put in. The firefox program is starting fine just no web pages will load.

Is there any way to fix this. So i can use my portable firefox at my university.

    Thanks

It sounds like there is a proxy server you need to go through to get to the web, as is very often the case with educational IT setups in the UK (and possibly elsewhere, but I only know about the UK).

Check with the IT guys at your uni to see if you need to go via a proxy and if so, how to get to it and which port it uses.
