I think this statement in the bold was most likely one of the biggest reasons for the site's closure. Imagine trying to have a management meeting where half the team members are hurling insults at the other half! Now imagine this going on for over a year....... no wonder they decided to call it quits.
Apparently they always refused any monetary transactions (gambling links, ads etc) to help them keep going, preferring to stay without all that that would bring.
