NOD32 latest beta breaks the User Interface of POPFile version 18.0. The UI refuses to load in Internet Explorer, no error messages. The problem is only with the POPFile User Interface and not POPFile itself. The spam filters work. But the program uses Internet Explorer for its User Interface (http://127.0.0.1:8080/) I've tried it a number of times removing the beta and using the current version of NOD32. No problems with current version but when using the beta Internet Explorer just stalls shows "Opening page http://127.0.0.1:8080/" but the page fails to open.
I haven't been keeping track of beta features, I read it now has a spam filter? Does it use Bayesian technology? and is it for Outlook and OE and with IE as its interface only as I only use TheBat! and Phoenix ?
To quote from their web site: "POPFile is an email classification tool with a Naive Bayes classifier, a POP3 proxy and a web interface. It runs on most platforms and with most email clients." web site: http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ forums: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=213099 Just did a quick search in their forums and do see references to people using TheBat!
Hi Tinribs, sorry, we don't have any spam filter now - this seems to be releted to the POPFile. Cheers, jan
I gethered that Jan thanks, I got a bit confused I have since installed Beta4 and so far I am very happy, no problems to report. Kev
