Using winxp, with AVAST & free ZA firewall.

NOT SURE, IF firewall question or General computer

IS there a way PLZ to put or make sure computer is in STEALTH mode ?

or make computer UNPINGABLE

#2, How should the z/a be set up to make computer unpingable or at least have it ask me to ask to allow or not allow ping,
z/a is now set where
UNDER ACCESS
TRUSTED Internet
are mixed with question marks or green cked

under SERVER
EVERYTHING IS question marks
#3 is there any harm in runing in STEALTH mode?
or un pingable?

ZAF Settings

ZA>Firewall>Main>Internet Zone> Slider Control Set to High

Also Trusted Zone Set to High

ZA>Program Control>Programs

Server-Trusted+Internet are all Set to Block XX

Access Set Trusted+Server to Ask ??

The only exception I have Avast -Web Scanner Set to VVXX

 

I echo these sentiments. Get a router and make sure the NAT in enabled and "Block Anonymous Internet Requests" is also enabled.

... problem solved, regardless of what software firewall you're using "if any at all".
