    :) hi i have xp home 600k cable connection. ive uninstalled old version spywareblaster and put in new one v3.0. and done all the updates and i clicked under quick tasks to enable all protection. but in blue writeing it says 0 items disabled so is this right.

    That is correct. 0 disabled means all enabled.

    As of today's SpywareBlaster update, this is what the protections should look like (all enabled and total count):

    I keep reading that SB3 should be installed only after removing SB2.6.1, but I saw nothing that said so on the download, so I simply did an upgrade over the old one.

    All seems fine, it even found the old 2.6.1 directory and I just did the 4-1-2004 update, which also seems fine. What problem is caused by doing an upgrade rather than uninstalling the old one that is working properly?
